Business Developer (GTA Region):  

We are looking for a sharp, energetic individual to join our B2B sales team. The successful candidate will reside in Southern Ontario and be very familiar with the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). In addition, this role calls for a self-motivated and driven sales person who will be operating out of their home office, selling to prospective clients in the Southern Ontario region, mainly in the GTA.

Collaborating with sales people and sales management in our Chicago, IL and Penticton, BC offices, this position will be selling our Business Management Software to prospective small and midsize retail and wholesale clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for field and phone prospecting, generating opportunities and closing new business within the many industries and key vertical markets we service. What does a Windward client look like? Generally, they sell, service or rent products and/or equipment. Think lighting showrooms, equipment rental outfits, furniture stores, garden centers, and power sport shops.

Excellent communication skills are required for this consultative sales process: the selected candidate will have discovery and solutions-based discussions with entrepreneurs, helping them understand the value and ROI of our fully integrated business management software. What does our software do? Primarily, it consists of invoicing, inventory, CRM and accounting, in addition to a roster of other industry integrations and add-ons.

Initially, this role will have sales support for product demonstrations and sales conversations in order to kickstart selling success!

Travel within the GTA region is expected to be approximately 40% once training is complete ; and approximately 5% travel is required outside the region to other Windward Software offices, as well as attending tradeshows and industry events.

  • Familiar with Ontario and the GTA
  • There will be travel to and attendance at various events and trade shows in the US and internationally; as such, a valid Driver’s License and Passport are required
