Optional

Dormant and expired account reporting Optional #

Spot accounts nobody uses any more

Every user's last login is tracked and the security wizard lists accounts unused in the past 90 days along with users whose passwords have expired without being reset.

Enforced complex admin passwords Optional #

Force strong passwords on admin accounts

Administrator passwords must be at least seven characters with a letter and a number, expire every 90 days, cannot repeat any of the last four or any used in the past six months, and the program terminates if the user refuses to change an expired one.

Lockout and idle re-authentication Optional #

Lock an unattended till automatically

Six consecutive bad passwords suspend an administrator for 30 minutes until another authorised user resets them, and 15 minutes without keyboard activity forces a password re-entry, with a further re-entry required for setup wizard or user maintenance.

Named administrator privileges Optional #

Give admin rights to named people only

Administrator rights are the specific settings marked in User Setup that grant access to the setup wizard, user and password configuration, and non-truncated card numbers on reports; the status is visible on screen and can be granted per individual.

User access visibility Optional #

See where each login has been used

A user information view shows each account's login name, the terminals and Windows accounts it has been used from, whether that Windows account has direct access to the database files, last logon, failed attempts, password expiry, account expiry and suspension dates.
