Break a unit down into sellable parts
Items can be bought whole and broken into spare parts on receiving, including serialised items where you choose which serial to disassemble; components can be added manually for non-kit items.
Choose how a bundle hits stock
Kit types are Information Only (grouping, no invoice effect), Dynamic (virtual parts whose components leave stock at sale, exploding or non-exploding on the invoice), Static (built and stocked as a kit) and Tag-Along.
Assemble kits as goods come in
Entering a static kit on a purchase order opens the kit-building screen at receiving time, consuming in-stock components to raise the kit's stock rather than receiving new stock.
Sell a bundle and clear the components
A kit sells as one line while removing several items from stock, can contain other kits, and can price either from the kit itself or as the sum of its parts.
Build kits from what is on the shelf
Fill Static Kits builds finished kits out of on-hand components, defaults to the maximum buildable quantity, and warns in red when you ask for more kits than components allow.
Add the delivery charge only when delivering
Tag-along kit items can be tied to an invoice sub-type so, for example, a delivery charge item is added only on delivery-type invoices while the rest of the kit is added every time.
