Four-way transfer workflow
Optional — Departments
#
Move stock between branches both ways
Transfers between departments run as one of four operations: transfer stock out, receive stock transferred in, request stock from another department, or ship stock another department requested. One transfer invoice can send stock to many departments at once, and each side can void its own invoice before the stock moves.

Pass notes with the goods between branches
The sending department's comment reaches the receiving department with the goods, the requesting department's comment reaches the shipping department with the request, and the shipper can add to it before shipping to pass information back.
Location-aware transfers
Optional — Advanced Inventory Control
#
Put transferred stock into the right bin
In the Advanced Inventory Control edition department transfers add a location column: on receipt the picking location detail window opens so put-away quantities can be assigned per location before the transfer is committed. Location cannot be set at request time.
Queued transfers from work orders

#
Transfer the parts a job is waiting on
Transfers queued from invoices are listed for selection, then the queued items for the chosen department are picked line by line and confirmed onto the transfer.
Requested In and Requested Out visibility
Optional — Departments
#
See stock promised to another branch
Submitting a request marks the quantity as Requested In on the requesting department's inventory record and Requested Out on the department being asked, so both sides see the commitment before anything ships. Back orders are not supported on department transfers.
Ship-to customer carried on the transfer
Optional — Departments
#
Know which customer the transfer is for
The sending or requesting department can name the end customer on the transfer, so the receiving department knows on arrival who the goods are for; the value is displayed to the shipping department on requests and to the receiving department on transfers.

Shift stock to the branch that sells it
A report proposes departmental transfers from each item's highs and lows and the quantity actually available to move, filtered by category, supplier or a named item list, or imported straight from a purchase order. Selected lines become transfer invoices or stock requests in one click, with separate control over which departments may appear on the from and to sides.

Print and report on branch transfers
Transfers report on demand, and any transfer can be printed either as a transfer summary or onto a chosen invoice form, with the choice remembered until changed.
