Use one label format for every product
System Five substitutes its own data tokens inside raw printer code — part number, description, price, barcode, company name and up to seven part comment lines — with per-field truncation, so one code set serves the whole catalogue.
Use the label printer we already own
Worked code samples and driver setup are supplied for Zebra using ZPL2 and EPL, Datamax, Cognitive Barcode Blazer, SATO e-series tested on the 608e with the Seagull driver, and the DYMO LabelWriter, which is configured through its own label files in a dedicated data directory.
Drive label printers at full speed
Alongside the WYSIWYG designers, labels can be written in the printer's own command language, with up to fifteen distinct print code sets per label type across all ten label types.
Print the product picture on the label
EPL2-based printers can print one-bit black and white images, and System Five sends the JPEG assigned to a part to the printer as image data with placement instructions, so labels carry the product picture.
Every capability on this page is documented in the System Five capability index. Last updated 2026-11-05.
