The standard description token truncates at 35 characters on a receipt; an alternate long-description token wraps the full text onto additional lines.
Fit more detail on a narrow receipt
Custom short codes can be defined to represent longer tokens and to cap printed length — for example an eight-character description — so several fields fit on one 40-column line without wrapping. Code and substitute together are limited to thirty characters.

Print different wording on returns receipts
Where invoice sub-types are enabled, a distinct receipt design can be attached to a specific main-type and sub-type combination — for example a returns receipt carrying final-sale wording on exchanged goods.
