Set up repeat jobs without re-keying
A job record numbered DEFAULT for a customer seeds every subsequent new job for that customer with its values, cutting re-keying and data entry error.
Number jobs so they stay sortable
Job numbers are 20-character alphanumeric values, either incremented from the highest existing number or auto-generated in a YYMMxxx format that avoids the digit-length problem of simple incrementing. Every job also gets a system-unique number that can itself be used as the job number.
Track job details with no field for them
The job record includes contractor PO number, start and end dates that are informational only, and twelve unnamed text boxes usable for whatever the business needs, the first of which is searchable as Address 1.
Find the job you billed last time
Jobs are found by job number, contractor PO number, unique number, an invoice assigned to the job, description, address or customer, limited to active jobs or to default records, with a Recent list of the last 50 jobs created and one-click cloning of an existing job.
Schedule job stages from the start date
Named completion stages are recorded with dates on the job's Extra tab. Stages on the DEFAULT record carry forward, and their dates are rebased onto each new job by the same day offsets — a stage fourteen days after the first stays fourteen days after the new start date.
