Check the customer's remaining benefit balance
The remaining food stamp balance can be checked from the payment screen or the payment menu by swiping or keying the card and entering a PIN, and if the balance is below the amount being authorised the amount is automatically reduced to the balance available.

Take EBT cash benefits separately
EBT debit or cash sales are supported as a separate tender, swipe only, with no manual entry and no returns, and can be enabled independently because some states do not allow a merchant to run both food and cash benefits.
