Surcharge credit cards but not debit
On Datacap NetEPay US Hosted, the system detects the card type itself and surcharges credit transactions only, leaving debit untouched, with no clerk input required.
Recover card processing fees at the till
A percentage or flat fee can be charged by card type and added to the invoice as a line item once the authorization succeeds. Enabled by the PAYMENTFEES feature flag on Netepay Classic or Netepay Hosted, System Five 7.0.3.15 or later.
Stop staff charging the wrong fee
A setting forces the clerk to confirm whether the card is credit or debit before the fee is applied, preventing the wrong fee being charged.
Show customers the card fee clearly
Fee wording and amounts can be printed on invoices, statements and credit card slips using configurable text.
Post card fees where accounting wants them
The fee can be recorded either against a non-inventory part called PAYMENTFEE or directly to a nominated ledger number.
