Cheques from journal entries
Optional
#
Write a cheque straight from a journal
Entering a credit against a bank account turns the entry's info tab into a cheque, previewed on screen, printed immediately (which posts the entry) or added to the A/P batch; the post button can also record it as a transfer or bank debit with no cheque number.
Departmental journal dispersal
Optional — Departments
#
Split one journal across several branches
A single journal transaction line can be split across two or more departments, in the entry itself or built into the template.
Journal entry templates
Optional
#
Make the monthly journals quick and safe
Supervisors define templates for recurring entries with the accounts, debit or credit side, formula type and department split already set; the templates appear on the Navigator menu so clerks only type the amounts.
Journal review and control
Optional
#
Know nobody edited a posted journal
Unposted journals list and post in bulk, posted journals list by book month for audit, and colour coding flags them at a glance — yellow for unposted, grey for dated before the minimum book month, red where debits and credits do not match. Security can forbid editing or unposting entirely, and an entry already cleared on a bank reconciliation cannot be unposted.
Repeating journal entries
Optional
#
Stop rekeying the same monthly entry
An entry can duplicate itself at a set interval, or a set number of times, over a given period.
