Configured items ordered to specification
Optional
#
Order exactly the options the customer chose
Modifiers let a stocked demonstrator be sold as a made-to-order configuration — a two- or three-seat couch, its colour and wood trim, or a phone and airtime plan — and those configured special orders carry their options through to the purchase order. Options can be integrated into the line price or listed as separate priced parts.
Fill special orders from regular stock
Optional
#
Use stock on hand to fill an order
When regular stock is received for an item with outstanding special orders, the system offers to move the special order status and work order link from the older PO onto the receipt in hand, splitting the line if only part of the quantity is needed and releasing the older order to become regular stock.
Special orders consolidated onto POs
Optional
#
Roll customer special orders into one order
Items tagged as special orders when they were sold sit in a pool that can be filtered to the current PO's supplier, selected individually or all at once, and added to the purchase order in a batch.
Special orders received straight to the work order
Optional
#
Get the ordered part onto the right job
Receiving a PO line marked as a special order updates the quantity and cost on the original work order instead of general inventory, and assigns serial numbers to the invoice lines where the item is serialized.
